On April 15th, our Executive Director, Adriana Gómez, and our Latin American Alliances Coordinator, Joice Corrales, visited Guatemala thanks to a special invitation from FOCUS CENTRAL AMERICA.
This family foundation funds grassroots organizations that address systemic issues. Their philanthropic vision involves both the Segal family and staff, immersing themselves in their sponsored organizations once a year in a very significant and high-impact event, which, in 2024, took place in Guatemala. Additionally, throughout the year, they are available to provide support and attentive listening.
The Summit was a grand event intended to improve connections with the foundation, with other Central American organizations, and to provide a space to meet new ones.

After the event, Adriana and Joice departed for Panajachel and Sololá to share with our allied organization MAIA, an exemplary and internationally recognized educational center. TeenSmart has over 2000 young users of JovenSalud.net in Guatemala.
